Football Games To Play

You want to practice some football on your own? Or maybe you’re a coach who want to do new things in your football practice… I will try to give you some ideas here:

Panna game –

This one will improve each players individual technique. You can play this one 1vs1 or 2vs2. You set up a little pitch with cones and a goal on each side(basically it’s a football pitch but a really small one). Every game can go on for as long as you want, but the game will be really intense and I would suggest some where around 5 minutes. The teams scores by putting the ball between the “goal cones”. But they will win by knockout if they manage to do a panna on the opponent. A panna is to nutmeg the opponent(put the ball between his legs). After the panna it’s very important to still have control over the ball, other wise it’s not a real panna and the game goes on. This is a very fun game to play since there will be challenges all the time and they will also be more defensive. There is not only a goal to protect, but a hole between your legs.

2 vs 2 game –

Kind of the same drill as mentioned above, but in this one you get a point for doing a panna. So you get points both for scoring and for doing pannas. This might be good so the players doesn’t concentrate solely on their legs. This will also be a very technical game with lots of challenges. There will be a lot more challenges in the panna game though. Because then they want to panna the opponent, in this example they also want to score lots of goals, so they will make it more as a team as individuals.

Juggling battles –

Either plain juggling(who does the most juggles) or who does the best tricks. Most football players are very competitive and want to win. So if they loose a battle they will go home and practice on more football tricks. And football tricks is good for a lot of things, some are concentration, eye coordination and your first touch. Juggling is also good as a warm up to loosen your body and muscles a bit.

Bulls eye –

If you’re hanging out with your friends and want to play some football, then bulls eye might be a fun game to play. You create “goals” with your fantasy. So maybe a post 20m away is your goal, the one who hits it first gets a point. Another one could be to open the top of a trashcan, move 30m away and try and get the ball to land in the trashcan(here’s an example of how it could look like: http://www.freestylefactory.net/video/tricks/trashcan.wmv). Just remember to not make goals that can result in trashing things, also no goals that might upset your neighbours or other people. Play with imagination and have fun.

Fun Games to Play on Cross Country Trips

RV Camping, Family Camping

When you set out on that first mile with your family on an RV camping trip, you are already committed to heading out into the wilderness and having the time of your life. You have spent months preparing for this trip including booking the slots, buying the food, de-winterizing your RV, maintaining the running condition of it, getting time off work and so much more. The one thing that could put the biggest damper on your trip is… Boredom.

In particular, boredom on the road to your family camping destination can spark irritability, impatience and moreover fighting. With a little creativity and willingness to go along, every potential boring moment on the road can be turned into something fun.

So put away the iPods, and turn off the movie and get ready to have some fun!

1. Roadside Bingo

This game can be particularly fun because of all the uncertainties you may see on the road. Roadside bingo consists of common roadside appearances such as cattle, railroad tracks or a tractor among many other things. These bingo cards can be picked up at many different kinds of stores that offer other fun roadbound games, but it can also be very fun to create your own bingo sheets before leaving on your family camping trip. When you’re playing roadside bingo, it’s important to call out when you see something on your sheet so that everyone else can verify the appearance and mark it off of their card as well. This game is always a good time and can still be on going while playing other games

2. 50 States

50 States is a game where you compete with fellow travelers to see who spots the most geographically unique license plates. As you’re driving down the road on the way to your family RV camping spot, keep a close eye on the cars going by to pay attention to what state the license plate is going by. Just like roadside bingo, players need to call out the state of the license plate that they see so that the other riders can verify the appearance. If multiple riders call out the same license plate, you can integrate other games such as rock paper scissors to battle for the claim of the land! You can play this game for limited periods of time such as between rest stops, the complete first way or you can play for the duration of the entire trip.

3. Mad Libs

Mad libs can bring on hours of entertainment and ridiculous laughter. Mad libs books can be bought at common stores with travel entertainment and are simply short one to two paragraph stories that allows participants to fill in blanks of the stories with their choice of nouns, verbs, adjectives and so on. The person that is filling in the blanks needs to keep the plot of the story a complete secret while asking around for random input for words. You will find yourself rolling with laughter as the most absurd and hilarious stories emerge from the collaborative imaginations of the riders.

4. Road Sign Alphabet

Road Sign Alphabet is a fun game to play on the road especially while passing through bigger cities. The objective of the game is to spot letters starting from the letter “A” and move alphabetically through the alphabet and the first one to cross off all of the letters wins. This game can be altered slightly to change up the rules including stipulations such as; only one letter per sign, only one person can claim the letter and so on. This game is also another that is more long winded and can be extended throughout the duration of the trip and played.

5. I Spy.. With My Little Eye…

It’s one of the simplest ideas and yet we always seem to forget about this one. “I spy with my little eye…something….. GREEN!” It may seem childish to play such a simplistic game, but throwing a few creative edges might make the game a little more energized and full of life. Give yourself a 60 second time limit to spout out as many chances as you get. Play in teams, have your partner guess as many items as you can before time runs out and keep the score then play to a certain number or as long as you want.

With a little openness and creativity, you can foster the environment to create laughter, conversation and most importantly togetherness. Family RV camping trips can sometimes be compromised with a long drive especially for those that are closer together like in a truck pulling a fifth wheel or even a class c conversion van. These traveling games can really help a long family RV camping trip go by faster and definitely more fun.
